Lush Toner Tabs Review

As you've probably realised now, i have a huge lush obsession, so when i saw these for only £1 i had to have one, well infact two!
The product reacts with the hot water like a little cute bathbomb and sends the water a slight mint green colour which is also really pretty! It smells rather herby and healthy which is a bonus. I rarely say this about an ache treatment, but i actually found that this really does work. my skin feels so much healthy and much more relaxed since using this product! Definite recommendation and will be buying it again!

Truth About Extensions

Hello angels!
So today I thought I'd tell you all the truth about my hair..

Image
Why I Bought Extensions?
This was my hair just before Christmas, so about five months ago. But my mummy made me have it cut! I was so angry when the hair dresser cut it short! I went out and automatically bought extensions as I was so self conscious about it. It may have only been a few inches shorter, but if i'm honest I've never looked at myself the same: I truly hate my hair now and will until it grows back.

Review:

Do not buy extensions. Don't do it! I beg you to not waste your money. I do not care how 'short' or 'thin' your hair is. DO NOT BUY CLIP IN EXTENSIONS. I cannot express this point enough. The extensions cost me nearly £70 from Extras. They are supposed to be 'heat-proof' yet do not curl. They have gone almost dreadlocked at the ends, which is disgusting!! After this post I will be binning them. You have to brush them at least every hour, or they gain about a thousand noughts. It takes so long to prep them it's unbelievable. You have been warned.

DIY Lip Scrub

Lush's Lip Scrubs, although work perfect, are rather expensive, and it upsets me that people are missing out on this marvellous invention! So, being as
bored helpful as I am, I spent an hour last night making a recipe for you to make your very own Lip Scrub, at home, with things you probably already have!
Lip Scrub, as well as offering exfoliation to soften your lips, also works as a lip balm to keep them feeling smooth - fighting away crackled lips brought on by winter, the cold weather and uhm, too much kissing!!

Ingredients:
  • sugar
  • honey
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • vaseline
  • food colouring (optional)
  • flavoured essence (optional)
  • small container
Step-By-Step Guide:
  1. Mix together 1 tablespoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  2. Add a teaspoon of olive oil and mix throughly.
  3. Add the salt and mix again! A paste should have formed.
  4. Add a teaspoon of vaseline and mix (wrist hurting yet;])
  5. Now for the fun part! Add food colouring and flavoured essence of your choice. I chose pink but sadly it came out orange. I added lemon essence for an extra kick of flavour - but please be warned you will be able to take the honey so chose wisely.
  6. Spoon into your container - I found that using an old cleaned-out Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation container works well and is the perfect size. I wouldn't recommend keeping the scrub long as of the natural ingredients that may go off.

How To Use:
  • Take a teeny amount and rub onto your lips, and then lick it off! It tastes better than you think trust me!
Fancy a Change?
To make the scrub more unique, why not try a different food colouring? Or add popping candy for more scrub, and a better, fun flavour! Remove the honey, and just use food essence and a bit more olive oil.

Lush Bath Product Reviews

Hi again sweeties!
Following my first post, I decided it would be suitable to do a review on Lush's bath products. Once again, all photographs are watermarked to my instagram, @emilydelevingne. The ones that I have selected for this post are as follows:
This is a photograph of the delightful 'Think Pink'. As you can see, the colour and pretty flowers instantly make it
so girly and the simple design is easy to cherish! The bath bomb fizzled away easily, leaving no remains, and although smaller than Lush's other bath bombs, still left a mighty yet pleasing smell of vanilla. Also, the water turned bright pink and did not stain my bath! Woo! To my surprise, the bomb left behind teeny weeny heart shaped confetti, which I thought was rather adorable. I will be purchasing the bath bomb again, for myself as well as friends and family, especially at the wonderful price of £2.50.

Next up we have 'Space Girl', an eye pleasing and rather special product in my eyes! The bomb smells wonderfully of parma violets, and turns the water violet (as you can see in some of the picture). I believe this product is special due to the fact it crackles, yes CRACKLES, and bangs, and pops, and makes noises as it degrades due to popping candy inside it! At first, I was scared, afterwards I was filled with delight.  Oh how Lush considers even the smallest of things! The only downer is the fact the tiny particles of glitter linger behind in the bath tub, meaning i had to scrub them out.. Then again at only £2.10 I'm not complaining much, ly Lush.

Say hiyah to the 'Blackberry Bath Bomb'. Smelling devine and costing only £2.95 the simplicity of the product makes it easy to be loved. The 'boom boom' confetti came as a surprise and only adds to the magic we see oh so often from Lush. I'm unsure why, but this product is not one of my favourites. I think this may be due to the tackily printed "bomb" on the bomb and the large confetti. I also found the purple colouring quite hard to remove from my bath tub.

Last but certainly not least, I introduce you to one of Lush's newer products: FUN. Coming in at £5 the product is a lot more pricier, however you can use it multiple times for multiple uses. FUN is described by Lush as "a citrus burst of tangy lime and lemon essential oils that will wake you up, keep you feeling fresh and focussed and help you play for hours" and I cannot  do other than simply agree with this statement. I wasn't sure about putting the product in my hair, but after trying it, it does leave the lingering beautiful scent so why not! The only downside is the product dries out quickly, and crumbles. Also, the scarse packaging makes it messy to keep - I had to resort to a plastic bag before binning it although. Good idea though, and I will buy it again.

Lush Skin Care Product Reviews

Hi lovelies!
For my first post I decided to do it on something I love, as you will know if you follow my instagram (@emilydelevingne) and that indeed it the store 'Lush'. My obsession with Lush started about a year ago when I bought my first ever lip scrub, and has only grown. My boyfriend jokes that I'm a lush addict hehe! Anyway, here are a list the products I am going to review in this post:
Image
The first time I bought 'Catastrophe Cosmetic' face mask was by chance. I had gone in originally to buy 'Mask of Magnaminty' but it was out of stock in my local store. The shop assistant suggested I tried this product and wow, I was not disappointed. At first, I was weary that £5.95 was a bit expensive for a 75g face mask, and thought it was come to be a regretful purchase, however I have used the product nearly five times now, and there is still plenty left in! I was surprised that from the first use, the mask did wonders for my skin. Not only did it reduce redness, it also made my skin feel more moisturised - in fact I am pleased to say I haven't felt the need to use moisturiser since the second application. The product also worked wonders for my skin in terms of blemishes and spots. A lot of smaller pimples have disappeared, and has reduced the size of all my larger spots to now almost nothing. Another positive is that the product smells devine - blueberries! The only two downsides is for one, that you have to keep the product in the fridge and I often forget making the mask become watery, and two the product is crumbly to apply and I end up getting half of it on the floor! Oops! Other than this, I would definitely buy the product again and recommend it.

The 100g 'Ocean Salt' was given to me free from my local store as a sample (definitely worth asking if you can get one, however don't be rude and make sure you ARE actually buying first.. don't expect something if you are not making a purchase, and don't ask in the same store every time) as I asked what my boyfriend could try for his spot-prone face. He was scared about trying it at first thinking he would be seen as 'girly' so I did the honours. If I am entirely honest I think the smell of 'Ocean Salt' is a little too overwhelming and not pleasant in the slightest, then again, it does smell fresh and manages to wake me up in a morning - but in my opinion it just reminds me too much of cleaning products. That aside, I do find that the product worked wonders for me - and after some convincing, for my boyfriend too. It didn't leave our skin feeling dry, in fact it left both our faces as "smooth as babies bums"! I'm not really sure if I can see myself parting with £6.95 for such a small pot soon though.

Last, but most certainly not least, I introduce you to the most perfect, godly product on the planet. Yes - it's 'Rub Rub Rub'! I really cannot begin to explain my love for this product, all I can say is go now to your local Lush store and buy it for a marvellous £7.95 . Buy it for your best friend, your mother, your father, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your sister, your grandmother, anyone you can think of just buy it for them and they will love you forever and ever. The product is really that perfect. It is easy to use, smells delicious (and leaves a scent!) and does exactly what it says it is supposed to do. Hello smooth skin, goodbye flaws. After only a few uses, my skin is miles and miles better (I can't begin to explain how bad at least I think it is). I suffer bad acne on my back, and my back also has a lot of scars from a few years ago, however with the help of 'Rub Rub Rub' (and Bio-Oil may I add!) the acne has improved 1000% and the scars are finally beginning to fade.
